Caterham Garden Design
The house is in an elevated position with views across the Caterham valley. The garden will be terraced with four distinct areas: Main terrace, flower garden, Sunken Garden and kitchen garden.
The main terrace will consist of a central dining area and two separate lounge areas separated by scented Mediterranean planting. The terrace looks out over the Flower Garden, a circular lawn with intertwining gravel paths, enclosing beds punctuated with beautiful multi stem trees and filled with tall grasses and colourful flowers to give a romantic meadow-like feel. A pretty summer house nestles amongst the planting to provide a quiet sanctuary to enjoy a good book.
The sunken garden makes use of the site of the old swimming pool and becomes a cosy welcoming area for evening entertaining with friends, surrounded by lush planting. As the temperatures fall warmth can be found around the fireplace within the contemporary oak pavilion.
A kitchen garden with raised beds and cedar greenhouse makes use of the sunny sheltered area behind the pavilion.
