Putney Garden Design

The garden was transformed to coincide with the house renovation. A new limestone terrace was designed to fit with the new extension and is used for sofas. Steps from the terrace lead to a large lawn edged with a brick path and generous herbaceous borders. A pretty Wendy house with its own little deck sits within the planting and provides an idyllic play area. The garden office has its own small limestone patio and terracotta urn water feature nestled into the planting. An oak arch, festooned with climbing roses partially screens the children’s climbing frame and swings and a further arch, leads to the compact kitchen garden with raised beds and cedar greenhouse.

The compact front garden was designed to fit one car on the drive, alongside a bespoke store to hide away bins and bikes with room to make it still feel like a front garden with beds and gravel paths. To create an entrance, we installed a beautiful bespoke Victorian mosaic path and step with York stone detailing.
